Monthly Wrap-Up

🌸 March Wrap-Up

A month of momentum, magic, and a slightly inconvenient cold…

🌿 The Month in a Breath

March flew by in a blur of busy days, creative wins, and little life moments that somehow meant everything. From baking milestones to blog progress, spontaneous trips to cosy resets, it’s been one of those months that felt chaotic while living it — but looking back? Pretty special.

📚 Pages That Kept Me Company

📖 The Night Prince – Lauren Palphreyman
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️
Fantasy romance | Forbidden connection | Dark prince energy | Fate & destiny

A moody, atmospheric fantasy that completely pulled me in. The tension, the world-building, the vibes — chef’s kiss. Definitely my favourite read of the month.

🎧 Flawless – Elsie Silver (Audiobook Revisit)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Fake dating | Grumpy x sunshine | Small town | Forced proximity

Already loved this physically back in 2023, but the audiobook version? Oh it hits differently. The banter feels sharper, the chemistry feels louder, and I’m fully reminded why I fell for these characters in the first place.

🎧 Total listening time: 13 hrs 12 mins
❤️ Favourite read: The Night Prince — it just had that ✨vibe✨

🎮 Pixels That Took Over My Brain

March was very much a “quietly productive behind the scenes” Sims month.

  • Slowly giving my older builds a little glow-up before bringing them back to the blog
  • Created a brand new build just for Seasons of Us (and I’m low-key obsessed with it already)
  • Officially started my storytelling era again (!!)

It doesn’t look loud on the outside, but trust me… the brain has been BUSY.

💭️ Vibe Check

Of course… of course I would get a cold right as Easter break starts 🙃

Because why rest peacefully when your body can add ✨spice✨

We’re pushing through with tea, blankets, and pure stubbornness.

🌼 Little Wins & Side-Quest Life Bits

March has been non-stop, but in that messy, life-is-happening kind of way:

  • 🎂 The 20th anniversary cake for work was a HUGE success (actual relief moment)
  • 💐 Mother’s Day = properly spoiled and felt very loved
  • 🖥️ All blog posts officially moved over → ONE blog now!! (this deserves confetti honestly)
  • 🚗 Spontaneous Skegness trip with the kids after a Thursday night phone call… chaotic but so fun
  • 🐣 Easter break = 2 whole weeks off (we breathe!!!)
  • 💅 Got my nails done — Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel because obviously
  • 👶 Auntie duties activated — town trip + McDonald’s + baking Easter nests = chaos, sugar, memories

It’s giving: busy… but good busy.

🌿 Gentle Intentions

  • Slow down (even just a little bit)
  • Keep creating without pressure
  • Actually rest… not just say I will
  • Enjoy the little everyday moments

Soft goals only. We’re not stressing ourselves out here.

🍿 Snack & Sip of the Month

Snack: Still absolutely demolishing those party mix crisps (prawn cocktail flavour) — they have no business being that addictive
Sip: Japanese White Peach Fanta (Home Bargains find!!)
…and I don’t even like peach usually?? But this? Elite.

☕ Still loyal to tea though, obviously.

🌱 Something I Learned

You don’t need everything to be perfectly planned to still be doing well.

Half the best moments this month came from the unplanned, slightly chaotic bits — and maybe that’s the point.

🔮 Looking Ahead

April is already shaping up to be full:

  • 🎉 Youngest turning 9 (!!)
  • 🏕️ His first school sleep-away trip (I’m not ready 😭)
  • More Sims builds + blog updates (finally time to dive in properly)
  • And a big one… learning to pause and breathe a bit more

💌 Final Thought & Come Chat

March felt like a blur… but when I actually stop and look at it, there’s so much to be proud of.

Sometimes growth doesn’t look like big dramatic moments — it’s just quietly showing up, doing your best, and keeping things moving.
