šŸŽā¤ļø Day 24 – Goodbye, Elves! Christmas Eve Magic & Farewell Boxes

The final morning of elf season has arrived.

After twenty-four days of mischief, giggles, and early-morning discoveries, it’s time for Elvis and Toffee to head back to the North Pole — but not before leaving one last little sprinkle of Christmas magic behind.

šŸ§ What They Got Up To

On their final morning, Elvis and Toffee surprised the boys with their Christmas Eve boxes, carefully filled with cosy treats and festive bits to enjoy throughout the day.

While the elves packed their tiny suitcases and prepared for their long journey home, they made sure everything was ready for Santa’s visit later tonight — setting out the special plates for Santa, the reindeer, and even their own tiny farewell treats.

A final thoughtful touch before their Christmas Eve flight back to the North Pole. ✨

šŸŽ¬ Behind the Scenes

This one always feels a little bittersweet.

After twenty-four days of chaos, laughter, and those familiar ā€œMum, look what they did!ā€ morning shouts, the final setup is less about mischief and more about wrapping up the magic.

Our Christmas Eve boxes have become a tradition over the years. Each one includes a few little things to make the day feel extra special:

• New pyjamas
• Hot chocolate sachets in their favourite flavours
• A Christmas activity or small festive toy
• Their stockings ready to hang
• Our copy of The Night Before Christmas for bedtime reading

We also bring out our Santa traditions ā€” the Santa key (since we don’t have a chimney!), a little jar of Reindeer Finder glitter to sprinkle on the balcony so the reindeer know where to land, and our three special plates:

• One for Santa’s mince pie
• One for the reindeer’s carrot
• And one for the elves’ own tiny treats before their journey home.

It’s the perfect way to end the countdown.

šŸ’” Recreate It at Home

Christmas Eve boxes are incredibly easy to personalise — and they don’t have to be elaborate.

Some simple ideas to include:

• Christmas pyjamas
• A festive book or activity
• Hot chocolate or marshmallows
• A small toy or cosy treat
• A film night snack

I found our boxes in Home Bargains, but you’ll see them everywhere this time of year — supermarkets, online shops, and craft stores all have lovely options.

And of course… don’t forget your Santa snack setup. It’s one of those traditions that kids remember forever.

✨ Elf Hack of the Day

Keep an ā€œElf Ideaā€ list all year round.

Whenever you see something festive, funny, or Pinterest-worthy, jot it down in a notes app or small notebook.

Future-you — especially the one in December panic mode at 11pm ā€” will be extremely grateful.

šŸŽ Wrap It Up: 24 Days of Mischief & Magic

And just like that, it’s the end of another year of Elvis & Toffee’s Christmas countdown.

From washing machine adventures to wall-climbing lava escapes, these two never fail to bring a little extra joy to December mornings.

Even as the boys grow older, the tradition still holds its magic — and that’s what makes it so special.

Thank you for following along with Elvis & Toffee’s Christmas Countdown this year. I’ve loved sharing each day’s adventure with you.

Here’s to another season of festive fun, late-night setups, and memories made under fairy lights. ā¤ļø
