Disaster struck overnight.
When the boys woke up this morning, Elvis and Toffee had clearly discovered that the floor had turned into a bubbling pool of lava. With lightning-fast reflexes (and just a touch of Christmas drama), they’d scrambled up the wall to safety — refusing to let a single toe touch the molten ground below.
Perched halfway up like two tiny adventurers mid-escape, they looked incredibly pleased with themselves. Apparently, when the floor is lava… you take the rule very seriously.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
This setup looks wild, but it’s actually one of the easiest ones to create.
I printed a bunch of lava texture images, taped them together into one giant molten masterpiece, and spread them across the floor to create the illusion of flowing lava.
Then, using a bit of strategic tape and a steady hand, Elvis and Toffee were “secured” halfway up the wall — just enough to make it look like they’d climbed to safety moments before the lava reached them.
It’s the kind of setup that takes five minutes to make but gets the biggest reaction. The boys spotted it straight away and instantly started laughing at how seriously the elves took the “floor is lava” rule.
Honestly? Totally worth it.
