Bear-y cute crossing patrol

🧝 What They Got Up To
This morning, Elvis and Toffee were on very important traffic duty.
During the night they set up a tiny bear crossing, helping a parade of gummy bears make their way safely across the floor. One elf even took on the role of crossing patrol, proudly holding a little “Bear Crossing”sign while the sweets made their journey.
Clearly the elves take road safety very seriously around here… especially when bears (the gummy kind) are involved.
The result? A sweet little scene that had the boys laughing before breakfast even began.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
This setup is one of those simple but adorable elf ideas that comes together in just a few minutes.
I lined up a row of gummy bears as if they were marching across the floor and made a tiny “Bear Crossing” sign for the elves to hold.
Now for the real-life parenting moment…
Yes — I absolutely had to lick the feet of the gummy bears to make them stand up. Elf magic meets mum survival mode.
Could I have created a full pedestrian crossing with perfect stripes? Probably.
Did tired-mum brain decide “that’s enough effort for tonight” instead? Also yes.
If you do want to level it up, you can tape down small strips of white paper to create a mini zebra crossing and make it look like a proper little road scene.

💡 Recreate It at Home
This one is incredibly easy to recreate with things you probably already have in the cupboard.
All you need:
- A pack (or two) of gummy bear sweets
- A small piece of card or paper to make a “Bear Crossing” sign
- Optional: white paper strips or masking tape to create crossing lines
That’s it.
Simple, sweet, and guaranteed to make the kids giggle when they spot the elves in the morning.
✨ Elf Hack of the Day
Store your elf props in a clear under-bed storage box.
Trust me — when December rolls around again, you’ll be grateful everything is in one easy-to-grab place instead of rummaging through the Christmas cupboard at midnight looking for tiny signs and props.
Future-you will be very thankful.
