👑 Day 4 – King of the Snacks: Elvis Claims the Tinsel Throne!

Every kingdom needs a ruler.

Apparently… ours rules over crisps, biscuits and chocolate oranges.

Today Elvis declared himself King of the Snacks, claiming the legendary Tinsel Throne and establishing his reign over the most powerful territory in the house:

The snack table.

All hail the Snack King

🧝 What They Got Up To

This morning we discovered Elvis had gone full royal.

Perched proudly on the Tinsel Throne, wearing a crown fit for a festive monarch, he surveyed his kingdom of snacks like a ruler deciding the fate of his subjects.

Beside him, Toffee had clearly accepted his role as loyal advisor — found bowing respectfully before the throne in complete acknowledgement of Elvis’ snack supremacy.

No other toys in sight.
No competition.
Just pure, glorious snack domination.

If Game of Thrones had been set in a kitchen cupboard, this would probably be the result.

🎬 Behind the Scenes

This setup actually turned out to be one of those unexpected lifesaver moments.

Originally I had planned to stage a full Game of Thrones style court scene using extra figures and toys as Elvis’ audience. The idea was to recreate a dramatic throne room moment.

But there was one small problem…

All the toys I needed were in the boys’ room — and sneaking in there at night without waking them felt like a very risky move.

(December 4th is far too early for an elf exposure incident 😅.)

So instead, I improvised.

The throne came from a Funko display piece, Elvis got a simple crown, and Toffee naturally took on the role of the loyal subject bowing before the king.

And honestly?
It ended up being even funnier than the original plan.

Sometimes the simplest setups are the ones that land the best.

💡 Recreate the Snack Kingdom at Home

Want to create your own Snack King elf scene? Here are a few easy ways to build a throne:

• Lego Throne – build a tiny seat from Lego bricks
• Stacked Books – pile up small books and drape a cloth over them
• Snack Containers – tubs or boxes make great elf platforms
• Paper Crown – you can print or draw a little paper crown (free printables from Elf on the Shelf make it easy!).

And of course…

Add lots of snacks around the throne for maximum dramatic effect.

✨ Elf Hack of the Day

If you can’t sneak into bedrooms at night to grab toys or props, use what’s already out in the house.

Snack tubs
Books
Mugs
Storage boxes

Elves look hilarious when they repurpose everyday objects into grand “kingdoms.”

Half the magic is making something ordinary feel like part of the story.

🎁 Join In the Fun!

Do your elves claim random territories around the house?

The snack cupboard?
The shoe rack?
The TV remote?

I’d love to hear your Day 4 elf antics, so share them in the comments — the chaos elves create every December is honestly the best part of the season.
