aka the time I fell down a Google + ChatGPT + Pinterest rabbit hole… and absolutely loved it
Ever read a book and thought:
“Okay but what would they actually look like if they were real?”
Yeah… me too. A lot.
So naturally, I turned that thought into a full-blown mini project — and honestly? It might just become one of my favourite features on the blog. 📸📚✨
🧠 The Brainstorm That Got a Little Out of Hand
It started mid-read, as these things always do.
I paused halfway through a chapter thinking:
“Wait… how exactly would he look in that suit?”
And instead of moving on like a normal person… I decided to investigate.
Using a mix of Google searches, my ebooks, and way too many notes, I started building out each character — pulling together details on their appearance, personality, and all those little quirks that make them feel real.
Because let’s be honest… personality definitely affects the vibe.
(You can spot a broody morally-grey man from a mile away, right?)
When descriptions were vague (or basically nonexistent), I filled in the gaps with Pinterest inspiration — because of course I did.
And then came my secret weapon…
ChatGPT (hi bestie 👋) — helping me turn all of that into visual, Polaroid-style character moments.

💭 The Goal: Fun Over Perfection
Before anyone grabs a magnifying glass — let’s be clear:
These aren’t meant to be perfect representations of how every reader imagines them.
They’re just a bit of fun.
It’s about the vibe — what these characters could look like if they stepped off the page and into real life.
(And yes… my fictional crush list has grown. Again. 😅)
👗 Formal or Casual? Why I Chose the Dressed-Up Route
At first, I debated going for casual looks — cosy, everyday vibes — or leaning into something more elevated.
But then I realised:
- Authors always describe formal outfits in way more detail
- And honestly? Seeing our favourite book boyfriends all suited up… chef’s kiss
(Yes, I am absolutely looking at you, Daddy Cade 👀🔥)
So unless an outfit was clearly described otherwise, I leaned into a slightly more polished, dressed-up aesthetic — blending book details with Pinterest inspo to match their personality and energy.
🖼️ The Character Gallery
Each one styled as a little Polaroid moment — like flipping through a fictional photo album.
Okay… confession time.
I have way more characters than I realised. Apparently I’ve been very busy AI-daydreaming 😂
Here’s a little peek at the collection so far:
👑 ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas
Cassian, Morrigan, Azriel & Amren
Dark tailoring, rich textures, and that unmistakable Night Court energy.
Between the armour details, Morrigan’s deep red gown, and Amren’s sharp elegance — it’s giving power, danger, and effortless confidence.

🐺 Bride by Ali Hazelwood
Lowe & Misery
Classic black tie meets quiet intensity.
Lowe’s structured tux and Misery’s deep-toned dress keep things sleek and polished — but there’s just enough tension in their expressions to keep it interesting.
🪽 Seraphim Academy by Elizabeth Briggs
Callan, Marcus, Bastien, Kassiel & Olivia
Golden light, formal styling, and a subtle celestial edge.
Olivia’s bold red dress takes centre stage, balanced by sharp suits and soft wing details — powerful, but still elegant.

🖤 Thieves’ Gambit by Kayvion Lewis
Rosalyn “Ross”
Simple, striking, and completely self-assured.
The structured red dress and warm lighting keep the focus entirely on her — confident, composed, and very much in control.
🪞 Give Me More by Sara Cate
Hunter, Isabel & Drake
A clean, modern mix of dark tailoring and soft colour.
Isabel’s gold-toned dress adds warmth, while the sharp suits on either side keep everything feeling balanced and effortlessly put together.

👶 Nanny for the Neighbours by Lily Gold
Jack, Cyrus, Beth & Sebastian
Soft, warm tones with a slightly more relaxed feel.
Beth’s blush dress brings a gentle contrast to the darker suits — polished, but still giving that cosy, found-family energy.
🌌 Bonus Mentions

All He’ll Ever Be by Willow Winters
Carter & Aria
Timeless and understated.
Classic black and soft waves keep the focus on their chemistry — simple, elegant, and easy.

Sugar Daddies by Jade West
Carl, Katie & Rick
A little more playful, but still polished.
The mix of textures and tones adds personality, while keeping that same warm, dressed-up feel running through it.
Each of these Polaroid-style images came together through a mix of book details, AI interpretation, and a lot of “hmm… not quite right, let’s tweak that” moments.
But seeing them all come together?
100% worth it ❤️
💬 Final Thoughts
Who knows — maybe one day we’ll get full AI movie trailers for our favourite books.
But for now, I’m loving this little blend of reading and creativity.
Because sometimes, the best kind of book magic happens when you let your imagination run just a little wild.
